March in Beijing area is still cold. But the first signs of spring can be observed. At a remote village in the western mountains, the mountain peach trees start to blossom. There is an old saying “ The time to plan for a year is in spring”. Early spring is not only the best time for us to enjoy the nature after the dormant in winter but also a best time to contribute our effort to improve the environmental quality in Beijing area. What could be a better weekend event than a tree planting trip in a tranquil ancient mountain village?

 

We will join the local villagers in this joint effort. We will irrigate the trees with the water from the village wells. We will sit in the farmer’s courtyard to enjoy our farm lunch. After the hard work we will also ramble around in this old village to enjoy the beautiful old architecture. This is a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city. It is also a perfect chance for parents to enjoy a great time with Children. Children brought up in the concrete jungle will be able to enjoy the happiness of rural life.
